Person

The usual week fills the sheet automatically, every week ahead, like the 8s in the workbook. Part-timers: 24 h = 3 days of 8, 32 h = 4 days, 36 h = 4 days + 4 h, 40 h = 5 days; their days off are P.

leavers are kept, never deleted

Days outside the start/end dates are greyed out and not counted in team totals, so past months stay accurate.

People

Change a team here to move someone. Leavers are marked inactive rather than deleted.

Teams

Minimum cover is how many people must be present on a working day. Days below it are flagged in the team's Present row. Occupancy % is hours worked ÷ hours scheduled, so part-time days off (P) do not count against it.

Settings

Counting who is present

Most teams only record absences. With this ticked, a blank cell on a working day counts as present.

Public holidays

One per line: YYYY-MM-DD Name. These columns are shaded and not counted against minimum cover.

Who can open the board

Everyone signs in with their own password. Nobody — not even you — can read somebody's password: a forgotten one is reset, and they choose a new one with the team code. Someone switched to Inactive in People cannot sign in at all, whatever password they have.

Data

Who has signed up

A person appears here as soon as they are added in People. “Set up” means they have chosen a password. Reset takes their password away so they can choose a new one with the team code — use it when somebody forgets theirs.

Import from Excel

Open the Excel workbook (.xlsx) with the button below and pick the sheet — or, in Excel, select the grid including the row of dates, copy (Ctrl+C) and paste it below. CSV files work too, and you can drag any of them onto the board. Recognised layouts: a grid with a Name column (and optional Team column) and one column per date, or a list with Name, Date and Status columns. Codes such as O, H, L, S, T, X and words like Home, WFH, Leave, Sick are understood; add ½ or /2 for half days and a ? for a leave request. Rows like “Total” or “Present” are ignored.

Request leave

Who are you?

So the board can show who filled in what. It stays on this PC and is not a login — everyone can still see and edit the whole sheet.
